Miss Eugenia got into the spirit of next friday's Anti-Valentines day a bit early with a wonderful bon bon fire display of all the things her ex valentines gave her. In good Steelhead fashion everyone came by and contributed tales of woe and tossed memento's into the fire...
...oddly enough all the lingere remained safe because of its monetary value they were exempt from the flames.
Ah yes who can forget about the pink one and her unaesthetically pleasing wedding invite she had the bad taste to give me. I tossed other mementos in the fire as well getting into the spirit and Tensai very well nearly threw me in as well.
All in all it was a grand fire. Eugenia decided since she was so very moved by everyone's contributions to the flames she would leave it up until the party.
To end it all, goodbye to the 'Pink one' the 'perfect one' and the 'lost one'. Things happen in life and in second life, they are bound to we are flesh abeit pixelated. In relationships there is always strong emotions and even stronger ones should we part under unfavorable circumstance. We must always remember one thing even thought it is very difficult since we are in a game and the ones we love/hurt/hate appear animated, we must always realize this, that behind the pixelated avatar is a living breathing and most important of all *feeling* individual. Its easy to hurt something animated and not real, but in this place the person behind the animation is very real.

"Build a bonfire, build a bonfire,
throw the valentines on top,
Put Cupid in the middle,
And we'll burn the bloody lot!"
The catharsis of the bonfire only works if you LET GO of the attachment while burning the symbols of that attachment.
*goes to have a lie down from the headaches*
Saying goodbye forever doesnt entail 'letting go'?
