Mannheim Water Tower

Built in 1888, designed by Gustav Halmhuber, in the city of Mannheim Germany the Mannheim Wasserturm (Water Tower) was built to expand its municipal water supply and is still being used today. It is crowned with the statue of Amphitrite, queen of the seas.

For SecondLife the Wasserturm was stripped of its pipes and tank inside to make room for its use as an art museum with a spiraling staircase inside. The Tower stands over 70 meters not including the statue and is over 550 prims mainly superprims. The statues themselves were a last minute detail work that I had not intended to build at all, but the Tower seemed incomplete without them.

That is a truly impressive build! I'm so proud to "live" in a place full of your work!
